The Skyfire Hawk-Bow came to my attention when Wowhead previewed some of the Timewalking Dungeon loot for patch 6.2.
Being in an adventurous mood, I decided to go and try my luck. The bow has an 18 percent drop rate, so I figured my chances were pretty good.
Who Drops the Skyfire Hawk-Bow?
The Skyfire Hawk-Bow drops from Warbringer O’mrogg in Shattered Halls.
How do you get there?
If you’re in your garrison do the following:
- Garrison – use portal to get to –
- Stormshield – use portal to get to –
- Stormwind – use portal *right there* in the Mage Tower to –
- Outland (Hellfire Peninsula) and then – Fly to Hellfire Citadel.
Make sure you pick the middle instance entrance which is the one for Shattered Halls, once you reach the complex.
The instance is linear, and there are no complicated pathways with the exception of the small side tunnel that you have to take to reach the first boss, just follow the map closely and you’ll be fine.
Basically, you reach a door that is locked – just back track slightly – and use the tunnel to your right (facing the locked door).
Once you’re in the tunnel, keep an eye out for a smaller tunnel on the left and that will take you straight up to the purple area where the first boss is.
Warbringer O’mrogg is the third boss of the instance. One arcane shot later, and he relinquished the bow!
I usually like to find a mount that matches, when I have a new combination of weapon/transmog/pet going…and funnily enough it was only this old store mount Heart of the Aspects that was the closest colour. Though, unless we get flying back in 6.2, I probably won’t be using it and even then, it’s not one of my favourites.
But yay! New bow! The Skyfire Hawk-Bow! In 6.2 there will be a Timewalking version that is ilvl 660 – but the look appears the same, so I guess that’s one dungeon I don’t need to farm when the patch finally hits.
