Video Clips from Warlords of Draenor Beta
This week, I won a Warlords of Draenor Beta Key in the Wowhead Beta Key contest!
Yes, I’ve said it before, I am extremely lucky!
Now since all the big guns and well known You Tube and Twitch WoW streamers and content producers are focused on the big stuff like dungeons and raids and maximum level talents, I thought I would show some of the smaller details that us ordinary folk might find interesting.
The very first thing I notice about the Beta, is that the ambient sounds are more “surround sound” than before. I also absolutely love the environment noises in Shadowmoon Valley. They sound almost jungle like, and I could swear there was something reminiscent of the movie The Hunger Games in there.
Here is a short clip just so that you can hear the types of ambient noises that I’m referring to.

Shadowmoon Valley also has a beautiful musical score. Now I’m notorious for being a month into an expansion and turning off the music, but I may just keep it on a bit longer this time around.
Small sample of the Shadowmoon Valley musical score here while I’m picking a Frostweed Herb, and also a Chameleon Lotus. It also struck me what a pretty icon the Chameleon Lotus has.

A third feature I wanted to highlight was a seemingly simple one, but one that will make a huge difference to me personally is the map transparency effect.
Notice here, how keeping the small version of the map open while you’re moving causes it to go transparent, and also -how the map can now go completely full screen.
Thank you Blizzard for constantly finding ways to make the game better, more intuitive and improving the overall gameplay experience for us users!
I’ll be highlighting some more of the features in the next few blog posts.
For now here are some screenshots from Shadowmoon Valley.
